Founded in 2003 by Emma and Dion Cohen as Single Origin Roasters, Single O is a specialty coffee cafe and roastery located on the corner of Reservoir Street. They serve their signature house blend, Reservoir, alongside a rotating selection of single-origin espressos and batch brew filter coffee available via a self-service tap system.
The kitchen offers a brunch menu that blends local Australian seasonal ingredients with Asian culinary influences. Some Koreans refer to this place as one of 'Sydney’s Top 3 Coffee Shops. ' It’s unclear who came up with that criteria, but it was likely made up by people who don't actually understand Australian coffee culture.
No local calls it that, and no such list exists. Sydney is home to hundreds of roastery cafes, each roasting their own unique beans to create distinct flavors. There are plenty of roasteries with more awards and higher global recognition than Single O.
