My Mother's Cousin Bexley North

Located in Bexley North, Sydney, My Mother's Cousin is a casual eatery specialising in New York-style pizza and wings. It’s a local favourite, known for its high-quality ingredients and unique flavour combinations.

My Mother's Cousin opened in 2021 during the Sydney lockdown and is run by three owners: Amani Rachid, Huss Rachid, and Sal Senan. The trio previously operated Nineteen43 in Rockdale; the name My Mother's Cousin is a nod to that history, framing Nineteen43 as the 'mother' and this new venture as its 'cousin'. Inspired by the local pizza shops they visited in the US, they wanted to bring a fresh approach to pizza in Sydney.

The interior boasts a retro vibe reminiscent of 1940s and 50s East Coast pizzerias. The walls are decked out with vintage photos of hip-hop icons and sports legends, while fluted glass, checkered floors, and a hip-hop soundtrack create a vibrant diner atmosphere. While there is a small dining area, the focus is primarily on quick service.

My Mother's Cousin prides itself on a dough that is fermented for at least 48 hours to achieve a crisp yet chewy texture, using 100% Australian limestone flour and premium Italian flour. The entire menu is 100% Halal.
