From late August through September, the farmland across Cowra, Hilltops, and the Riverina transforms into a sea of vibrant yellow canola blossoms. Follow the self-drive Canola Trail provided by the Cowra Visitor Information Centre to explore charming country towns like Woodstock and Canowindra, along with the best scenic photo spots. It’s about a 4-hour drive from Sydney, and for a different perspective, hot air balloon or scenic flight tours are also popular. Since the exact bloom locations and timing vary each year, it’s best to check with the visitor centre before you head out.
